New Stuff
Having been inspired by someones 'Baleen' beads on the FHF - sorry but I can't remember who it was - I seem to have the memory of a goldfish these days. I bought the tutorial by Michael Barley and it was brilliant. However being the sort of person I am, I made a couple as per directions but then went on to come up with some of my own ideas. I'm not sure if you can call them pretty but they are interesting. I have made a necklace for myself made up of assorted Baleens and it strangely works really well together. They do take longer to make than most - (maybe not as long as the Shipwreck beads !) but well worth the effort.
I'm now also playing about with Kaz Baildon's murrini and they can give a bead a real lift. I love playing with new ideas and as you might see by my Bead Shops, I hop about from style to style. I'm not sure I will ever be able to do one style for longer than a week!
Well must go off and feed the cats (about 10 of them )!
Off to the Towcester Flame Off on Saturday - hope to see some of you there.
