My name is Shelia Knapp, I have dabbled with many craft (about 40 years) but after about 8 years exploring ceramics, several years enamelling & silver smithing - I found lampworking. The whole process of playing with colour, melting glass and the joys of opening the kiln to see what delight's you may have produced, is a constant source of delight and on occasion - mild forms of euphoria. All my beads are annealed from the flame to the kiln. Annealing will hopefully prevent the beads from cracking but please remember they are still glass and need to be handled with some care. Also each bead is cleaned and inspected. Some of them also look good to eat, so please keep them away from small children. If you see anything in the galleries that may be of interest, please get in touch as they may not be sold, or I may be able to make something similar. I sell most of my beads on ebay and have a growing mountain not on display. I have just been inspired by Michael Barley's Baleen tutorial and have included a couple for sale.
